A Bomb Threat forced the Closure of the Pleasant Valley High School

CHESTNUTHILL TOWNSHIP: In a statement by the Pleasant Valley School District, A bomb threat directed specifically at Pleasant Valley High School was discovered early this morning by a building administrator.

Although the threat was not perceived to be credible, it was specific in nature and prompted the administration to close the high school and immediately contact the Pennsylvania State Police.

The PSP utilized 4 canines to sweep the entire building and deemed the building safe at 12:30 p.m. The high school will remain under lockdown until the opening of school tomorrow. No unauthorized persons will be permitted to enter the building.

The school district will continue to work in conjunction with the Pennsylvania State Police to complete the investigation and prosecute those responsible to the fullest extent of the law. We will provide additional updates as they become available.
