Bangor Man charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest and related charges for institutional vandalism

Monroe County District Attorney detectives charged DARRIN ADAM SANDERSON, 26, of Bangor, for resisting arrest and assaulting sheriff's deputies after having his hearing continued and his bail revoked.

During their attempt to subdue Sanderson, deputies sustained injuries but were able to eventually escort him to the holding area.

Sanderson is currently incarcerated at the Monroe County Correctional Facility as a result of bail in a previous criminal case having been revoked by the court.
Charges were filed against Sanderson by Detective Mario Orlando, including Aggravated Assault, Terroristic Threats, Simple Assault, Resisting Arrest, Institutional Vandalism, Disorderly Conduct, and Criminal Mischief.

Sanderson will appear before Magisterial District Judge Kristina Anzini for a preliminary hearing at a later date.
