Deadly Crash on Rt 715 in Jackson Township Last Night April 3rd, 2018

JACKSON TOWNSHIP: Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Co. Pocono Township Volunteer Fire Co. St. Luke's EMS, West End Ambulance, and State Police were dispatched at 9:28 pm last night to 1821 Rt 715 (Near Grubers Lake) in Jackson Township for a one vehicle accident with 4 people in the vehicle and Entrapment.

As we reported last night on Pocono's Traffic Alerts & Incidents, upon arrival the Fire OIC found 2 of the vehicle occupants out of the vehicle walking around, one laying on the ground and another trapped inside the vehicle and he requested MedEvac for at least two, but due to the weather and heavy fog MedEvac declined to fly.

Shortly thereafter the Fire OIC called for the Monroe County Coroner's Office to respond to the scene. The identities of the deceased and the other occupants have not been released pending family notifications. According to what we have learned they all had New York Addresses.

Rt 715 was closed between Doll Rd and Neola Rd while the State Police conducted their accident investigation.

Weather conditions at the time of the crash were heavy fog and wet roads, the vehicle hit a tree.
