East Stroudsburg Couple Found Guilty of Child Abuse

Rafael Ray Olivo, 36, of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, was found guilty on February 10, 2017, to three counts of Felony Endangering Welfare of Children, three counts of Felony Criminal Conspiracy to Endanger the Welfare of Children, two counts of Misdemeanor Simple Assaults and two counts of Summary Harassment.

His wife, Christine Nazario, 36, also of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, was found guilty on February 10, 2017, to three counts of Felony Endangering Welfare of Children and three counts of Felony Criminal Conspiracy to Endanger the Welfare of Children.

Olivo was represented during trial by Attorney Brian Gaglione, Nazario was represented during trial by Attorney Eric Closs, and the case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Julieane Fry.

The verdicts were returned after a day and a half of courtroom testimony and lengthy deliberation from a jury of twelve.

After being convicted, upon motion of ADA Fry, Judge Mark modified both defendants' bail to $250,000 secured, at which time both Defendants' were taken into custody.

They will remain in custody until they can post bail in this matter.

Sentencing is scheduled for April 17, 2017 at 9 am.
