Follow Up to our Story on Dalton Davidson the 23 y/o Saylorsburg man operating a farm tractor who died after a crash with two vehicles on Rt 209 in Gilbert on 08/24/2021

On 08/24/2021 at 2243hrs, PSP, Monroe County Sheriff's, West End Volunteer Fire Company, Polk Township Volunteer Fire Company, West End Ambulance, Suburban EMS, and Wind Gap EMS were dispatched to 1354 Rt 209 in Gilbert in front of West End Printing for a 4 Vehicle MVA involving a Farm Tractor which turned out to be 2 separate accidents, 1. involving the SUV vs Dalton Davidson's Tractor and 2. involving another vehicle that hit Dalton Davidson in the roadway and then crashed into another vehicle that was parked on the side of the road for traffic control. We have added the second accident report below the first.

Dalton Davidson (23), of Saylorsburg, was operating a farm tractor and slowing for a right turn when he was rear-ended by an SUV on the southbound side of State Route 209 Tuesday around 10:43 p.m., according to State Police.

Davidson was ejected from the tractor, which overturned. Davison was hit by another while he was laying on the ground from the first impact that threw him off his tractor.

He was airlifted to Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest, where was pronounced dead at 5:09 Wednesday morning.

The operator of the Subaru that hit Davidson's Farm Tractor, Alice Weaver (74) of Lehighton, and the passenger Harry Weaver (74) also of Lehighton were entrapped in their vehicle and had to be Extricated and were transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital Pocono with unknown injuries. Alice Weaver was issued a citation for speeding.

The operator of the VW Jetta that struck Davidson while he was laying on the ground and the fourth vehicle was Sonia Duffy (48) of Lehighton and she was transported to the Hospital by Wind Gap Ambulance with Serious Injuries. Unknown if any charges will be filed against her.

There was a fourth person transported to the hospital.

The Pensylvania State Police are still investigating the accident.
