Kunkletown Man Assaults State Troopers on DUI Stop in Brodheadsville

john

State Police report that during a DUI traffic stop friday on Hickory Lane (Just off of Weir Lake Rd) in Brodheadsville, Chestnuthill Township that John William Tutko 52 of Kunkletown allegedly resisted arrest and assaulted state troopers who stopped him.

Many locals may remember John as a member of the former Sun Valley Volunteer Fire Company and has had several DUI convictions in the past.

We had hoped John had put drinking behind him after his last conviction and was straightening out his life, we know he was excited about his upcoming wedding to his partner in just a few weeks. John is now awaiting a district court hearing.

My prayers are with John and Russell to be strong and get through all this, I wish alcohol was never invented nothing good comes from it except trouble and so many people suffer the consequences ?

  3. You only suffer if you chose to do so and by drinking abd driving he made that choice. Glad hes off the roads and hope he stays that wayb
