Male ATV Driver Killed when he Collided with a Commercial Vehicle on Gilbert Rd in Gilbert

CHESTNUTHILL TOWNSHIP: 5:47 pm The Monroe County Coroner tells us that James Greydanus, 40, of Gilbert was Killed when he lost control of his ATV and Collided with a Commercial Vehicle (food truck trailer) in front of 580 Gilbert Rd in Gilbert just before 6 pm.

West End Volunteer Fire Co., Blue Ridge Hook and Ladder, West End Ambulance, St. Luke's EMS and State Police were dispatched.

The West End Volunteer Fire Co. OIC requested a MedEvac for the injured male and shortly after 6:00 pm he requested the Monroe County Coroners Office to respond to the scene.

The Food Vendor was traveling north on Gilbert Rd at the time of the accident, we do not know how the ATV ended up on the roadway at this time as the accident is still under investigation.

Gilbert Rd between Rt 209 and Fairgrounds Rd was closed for a couple of hours while the State Police conducted their investigation.
