Mold found in Several Locations with in the Pleasant Valley School System
The Pleasant Valley School District posted the following message about Mold being discovered in several locations in the district:
"This message is to notify the Pleasant Valley community that mold has been discovered in several locations throughout the district. The administration has developed a plan to remediate the issue and ensure the air quality is safe for all.
Although the mold is contained to a few areas, the PV staff is working in conjunction with remediation professionals to rectify the situation. Updates will be provided periodically throughout the remainder of the week.
Due to the mold issue at PVI, the Find Your Classroom event scheduled for Thursday has been canceled."
With ll the rain we have had this summer it is not surprising that mold has been found.
Exactly what do the maintenance personnel due over the summer? Doesn’t anyone run A/C or otherwise run fans, etc.? Mold is hardly a new issue, yet each year there are these cases in late summer. Who is being paid to maintain the buildings, and why aren’t they accountable?
Pocono Chuck, seriously? It has nothing to do with being held accountable. Mother Nature has her own agenda. Maintenance ppl work hard to prepare schools. Im sure this district is not the only one with problems. How wud u suggest they be accountable? 50 lashes?
interesting something is not right because if it were just mother nature we would all have mold problems in our homes, garages, offices we work at etc…. you don’t hear of widespread mold issues in other structures other than our school district – so you tell me – someone isn’t paying attention to leaks perhaps ? and why PVI ? isn’t that a newer building – my concern is the high school old gym which is disgusting with the smell of mold even though you might not see it.
Gee I wonder if it could possibly have been caused by the leaky roof?????????????????? Hurry and send someone up there to apply another patch!!!
