Fully Involved Barn Fire Altemose Farm Altemose Dr Brodheadsville

CHESTNUTHILL TOWNSHIP: 9:33 pm There is a reported Barn Fire at the Altemose Farm 2195 Altemose Dr. Brodheadsville.

UPDATE: 9:41 pm A responding unit reports that the Glow of the fire is visible from the High School.

UPDATE: 9:42 pm Arriving units report the Main Barn is fully involved, approx 50 x 80.

UPDATE:9:45 pm Additional Fire Police Needed, they have people all over the place getting in the way.

UPDATE: 9:52 pm Tankers from Kunkletown Volunteer Fire Co., and Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Co. requested.

UPDATE: 10:34 pm EMS has requested an additional EMS unit to respond to the scene and Jackson Township's 2 Tankers have been released.

UPDATE: 11:04 pm The State Police Fire Marshall is responding to the Barn Fire.

UPDATE: 11:45 pm They will start using an Excavator shortly to search for hot spots.

UPDATE: 11:27 am 5/13/18 According to Larry Altemose All the animals (horses and cows) were able to get out of the barn in last nights fire. There was also a radio transmission from EMS at approx 9:50 pm that a Passerby and the Fire Department almost got into a physical altercation and a threat was made about pulling out a gun, According to PSP Fern Ridge it was unfounded.

West End Volunteer Fire Co., Polk Township Volunteer Fire Co., Blue Ridge Hook and Ladder, Kunkletown Volunteer Fire Co., Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Co., West End Ambulance, St. Luke's EMS and State Police responded.
