2017 4th Annual Chestnuthill Township Community Day September 24th, 2017 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Chestnuthill Township is pleased to announce that the 2017 Chestnuthill Township Community Day will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at the Chestnuthill Township Park located at 221 Rt. 715, Brodheadsville, PA 18322. The day will run from 12 noon until 5:00 pm.

Last year’s event was a great success with over 3000 residents attending and 54 community organizations participating. As with last year’s event, there will be entertainment, demonstrations and free food provided all day.

In addition to the general public, we are inviting civic, service, volunteer and governmental organizations and agencies to participate in this event in an effort to bolster community involvement with our residents. Groups are encouraged to recruit volunteers, explain services they provide and raise funds to support their mission as applicable. This year we are asking groups that plan on participating to provide some type of activity related to each organization’s purpose if possible. For example, a sports related group might be able to do a demonstration of their athlete’s skills; a healthcare provider could do blood pressure screenings; etc.

Please find a registration form for your organization. Please also note that participating organizations MUST provide a copy of a proof of liability insurance form (available from your insurance carrier) naming Chestnuthill Township as an additional insured party. Government entity participants are not required to provide this form as they are required by law to provide liability insurance.

Please note that this is an outdoor event and as such, there is limited shade. Organizations are strongly encouraged to bring EZ Up style tents or large umbrellas to stay cool if the day is very warm and sunny. Additionally, participants should bring their own tables and chairs and know that there is no electrical service provided. We will assign space based upon individual needs as much as possible. We will also have limited space for RV or trailer type displays, so please note on your registration form if your group plans to use such a vehicle.

Also, please feel free to share this flyer and registration form with other civic, service, volunteer and governmental organizations and agencies that may be interested in participating in this great event as well as your friends and neighbors who would like to attend.
