Brodheadsville man was driving tractor-trailer that overturned on Rt. 33 yesterday.

A Brodheadsville man was at the wheel of the tractor-trailer that overturned onto its side Wednesday evening on Route 33 north in Hamilton Township, according to state police at Swiftwater.

Lee Shupp, 75, was driving a 1988 Peterbilt 4x2 Tractor around 5:55 p.m. about 900 feet north of Lower Cherry Valley Road when the right rear tire to trailer blew out. Shupp was negotiating a left hand curve at the time.

Shupp lost control of the tractor-trailer after the tire blew out, eventually having it overturn onto its side, spilling the contents onto the roadway.

Shupp was reportedly hauling mulch. Police report Shupp was not injured.
