Brush Fire reported in the State Game Lands west of Fall Creek Estates Jackson Township

There is a reported Brush Fire reported in the State Game Lands west of Fall Creek Estates Jackson Township, the resident at 306 Fall Creek Terr called in the report and said it was just west of them in the mountains. Jackson Township Fire is responding to the scene, several units on the scene already are trying to locate exactly where it might be.

Jackson Township Fire is requesting a spotter plane to fly over.

UPDATE 9:57 am: Jackson Township Fire was informed that the spotter plane will not be in service until 1 pm this afternoon.

UPDATE 10:00 am: Jackson Township Fire is staging at the end of Fall Creek Estates Terr.

UPDATE 10:18 am: Whiskey 22 spotter plane is going up to see if they can spot the brush fire as the ground units have so far been unable to locate it.

UPDATE 10:28 am: Jackson Township Fire believes they may have found the source of the fire smell/smoke in the area, they discovered a smoldering burn barrel in a yard. So far they have not been able to locate any smoke and/or fire on the state game lands.

UPDATE 10:45 am: Whiskey 22 reports smoke in the game lands, they are trying to pin point the source.

UPDATE 11:00 am: They believe they have the location of the smoke, they are awaiting the ATV to go up the mountain following the power lines.

UPDATE 11:13 am: Fire units have moved the staging area to East Rinker Rd and West Rinker Rd near the water tower.

Jackson Township Fire, Pocono Township Fire and Whiskey 22 are on scene investigating.
