Police Activity on Dotters Corner Rd Kunkletown
POLK TOWNSHIP: 11:11 am Polk Township Fire has been requested to Smith Rd and Memorial Dr to shut down that intersection due to Police activity on Dotters Corner Rd Kunkletown.
We are being told that the State Police are searching for a person with a gun that fled into the woods. According to police they were called to a house on Dotters Corner Rd for a man pounding on the door.
This may have been a domestic incident and the man with the gun ran off into the woods.
After an extensive search police cleared the area and the use of cellphone gps tracking the police determined that the area was safe and lifted the lockdown on local area schools.
The suspect has been in contact with the State Police and is said to be cooperating.
The Pleasant Valley School District is on Lockdown.
District 12 out of Carbon County directed to close the intersession of Steckel Rd and Dotters Corner Rd.
UPDATE 1:14 pm The Roads have been re-opened, we do not know if the person that the PSP have been looking for has been found.

I have been a victim of Vandals and Property destruction, and live in the area. Lots of Speeders and trash dumpers…This area needs more coverage by PSP…Dotters Corner Rd. from Valor to Eldo Lakes and Robin Hood. This incident does not surprise me….
