State police removed several bags of evidence from a Ross Township home as part of an investigation in a three-year-old missing persons case, according to state police Lt. Joseph Sokolofski of the Bethlehem barracks.

Investigators found pieces of human bones while searching the property at a private home at 2368 Woodhaven Drive, according to Monroe County Coroner Robert Allen, during a search that’s stretched out for more than a week. The search included excavating the yard and a search of the home.

The bones were sent to a state police lab for identification.

Allen said it would take three and a half weeks to complete the tests.

Sokolofski would not disclose the contents of the bags of evidence, citing the ongoing investigation.

The case centers around a missing Lehigh County woman, who has not been seen since Nov. 22, 2013, according to Sokolofski.

Holly Grim, who was 41 when she disappeared, was last seen driving her son to his school bus stop near their home in the Red Maples Mobile Home Park on Grange Road, Lower Macugnie Township.

Michael and Cathy Horvath are the owners of the Ross Township property.

Michael Horvath and Grim worked together at the Allen Organ Company in Macungie Borough, according to The Morning Call.

Sokolofski confirmed that the subject of the sealed search warrant was from the Lehigh Valley area. He characterized the relationship between Grim and Horvath as co-workers.

Investigators conducted a grid search of the home’s yard last week before moving onto the home, using heavy machinery to dig and fine hand tools for detailed work.
