Two injured in Chestnuthill crash

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 12:38 p.m. Sunday at Shaffer Drive and Veronica Lane, near Weir Lake, in Chestnuthill Township.

George J. Sigafoos, 42, of Bangor, was driving a 2003 Hyundai Elantra west on Shaffer Drive, toward Veronica Lane, state police said. Connor R. Gregson, 17, of Saylorsburg, driving a 2002 Hyundai Tiberon, was coming out from a parking lot and turning left onto Shaffer Drive.

The Elantra tried swerving to the right to avoid hitting the Tiberon, but the Elantra's front driver side hit the Tiberon's passenger side. Sigafoos and his passenger, Theresa L. Lasardi, 40, of Saylorsburg, were injured, police said.
