Effort man found Guilty of Attempted Homicide of 2 State Troopers

EASTON PA: A Northampton jury has found Daniel Clary 22 of Effort Guilty of Attempted Homicide of State Trooper Seth Kelly and State Trooper Ryan Seiple on Nov. 7, 2017, on Route 33 in Plainfield Township during a traffic stop.

The jury convicted Daniel Clary of 9 of the 10 charges against him, only finding him Not Guilty of driving under the influence of marijuana. The jury disregarded the argument from Clary's defense attorney Janet Jackson that Clary was young, intimidated and scared and that he fired on the police because he "didn't know what was happening to him" and feared for his life.

Clary faces decades of prison time, according to Northampton County Judge Stephen Baratta.
